On February 15, 2020, Jiya Rai accomplished an extraordinary feat by swimming a distance of 14 kilometers from Elephanta Island to the Gateway of India. In a remarkable display of skill and determination, she completed this challenging swim in an impressive time of 3 hours, 27 minutes, and 30 seconds. What makes Jiya's achievement even more remarkable is that she holds the current world record as the youngest girl with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to successfully swim such a demanding distance in open waters.
